A major blast from the past. I used to run an tumblr page dedicated to my XY and ORAS playthroughs where the posts would be pictures from the journeys of the various Trainers, with the occasional video for the more animated portions of the game. I never did finish uploading to the account because I accidentally cleared several HOURS worth of recorded footage and pictures from my SD card (I thought I had remembered to move everything onto my computer back then, turns out I didn't), and that would have meant I'd need to completely start over one of the games.
I thought all the footage from back then was lost forever after my last computer died and would not turn back on, but found this bit towards the end of my run in Alpha Sapphire saved onto my external hard drive.
This is from loooooong before I ever started streams, and because I never owned a 3DS that was able to record or stream games, this is all done on a very, VERY terrible handheld digital camera that ran through 4 AA batteries like it was dying of thirst and just found an oasis.
I wanted to preserve this so I never lose it again.
This is a battle that I had done so much preparation for, including powering through the Omega Ruby postgame in order to get my hands on a specific Mega Stone from there to send to Alpha Sapphire because I had one very, VERY important Pokémon that I had raised from close to the start of the game who was vital for this final battle with Wally.
This is a battle that I will always remember and that I am so happy that I still had the original file for.
This is the Victory Road battle between Seridae and Wally.
(For those curious, I did a dumb themed name idea for XY where the Trainers had a letter in their names from the opposite version and decided that ORAS also needed themed names. I decided Omega Ruby would be where I'd start using my Trainer OC, Raven, which made the theme "bird names." Seridae comes from the name for sparrows, "Passeridae.")
