The idea of creating an ambient album while maintaining some of the more complex compositional elements from progressive rock became a challenge and a driving force behind Aura’s New Circuitry. Tracks like “Wholeness” and “Eris In The Dark” incorporate technical rhythm patterns while maintaining a smooth ambient edge. Hugely influenced by acts such as Shpongle, Ott, Argaman, Buckethead, Devin Townsend Project, and many more, New Circuitry is also a response to the very intense music of Schrodinger Kats, a progressive rock project from 2010. All music composed, performed, mixed and produced by Aura. Mastered by Jemi Sitanayah at Jemi Music Studio, Montreal. Featuring Costa Damoulianos (vocals on track 4) and BenYam Barshi (percussion arrangement on track 5). Photography by Maarten Schuchard.
