Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is an Action adventure game developed by Monolith Productions which is set in the dangerous land of Mordor. It is based on the popular Tolkien Chronicles and chronologically, its story is in between "The Hobbit" and the "Lord of the Rings" timeline. You will be using Talion, a ranger of Gondor tasked with guarding the Black gate, together with the Wraith Celembrimbor in their rise and to exact revenge against the Black Captains who killed and sacrificed the family of the former.

Its gameplay borrows heavily from the platforming and exploration mechanics of Ubisofts Assasin's Creed series together with the fighting mechanics from Rocksteady's Arkham series. However, Its main strength is in its "nemesis system", which details on how Talion can use his wraith powers to control and use his enemies against them. Due to this, and to its smooth gameplay, It is considered as one of the best games of 2014 which garnered over 50 awards whereby 49 are GOTYs. A great game and deserving of its awards and praise.
