쥬라기원시전 1은 당시에 꽤 알려진 원시시대 배경의 유명 국산 도스용 고전 전략 게임이다.
후속작으로 2까지 나와있다.
워크래프트, 스타크래프트, 커맨드 앤 컨커, 레드 얼럿처럼 일반적으로 병력을 뽑고 상대편 적과 기지를 파괴하면 된다. (가끔 다른 미션이 주어지기도 하다.)
이 게임에선 돈 개념이 먹거리인데 동물을 사냥하면 먹거리가 생기고 그 것을 이용해 건물을 짓고 병력을 뽑고 업그레이드 할 수 있다.
