1 Lancs hone urban warfare skills on demanding exercise in Cyprus

Exercise Urban Menace sees an emphasis put on ‘conventional’ war fighting.
1LANCS took to Urban Training Facility at RAF Akrotiri where they have been learning how to raid buildings and how to manouvre in a built up environment.
The Battalion is leaving Cyprus after 2 years, following a variety of tasks during their time on the strategically important island.
The battalion will now move to Weeton Barracks in Lancashire, joining 4th Light Brigade Combat Team, also known as the 'Black Rats'.
The 'Black Rats' are the lead light brigade in the newly formed Joint Expeditionary Force (Land).
