After a lot of tangled cables and swearing, I managed to get the SNES hooked up properly - since having to replace our old tv when it went pop and all the magic smoke escaped, I'd not got round to properly working out how to connect all the consoles back up. Even with several Scart splitter boxes, it was going to be tricky as the old TV had three Scart sockets, whereas the new one has just the one. It may have 3 hdmi ports but that doesn't help me much, does it? Thank heavens they've still got aerial sockets or the megadrive, dreamcast and atari 7800 would be right out of luck.

Anyway, so this is Axelay, which I remember purely as a name, nothing else. Oh, and I think it's meant to be quite good. Didn't even really recall whether it was a shooter or not, or if it was a run-and-gun side-scroller or what. Now I've played it again, I suppose I ought to go read a wiki on it or something, I'm probably missing something quite important about it.
