Ever since the first Halloween movie was released way back in 1978, the iconic slasher franchise started by horror legend John Carpenter has been one of the most popular horror franchises in the world. Its main villain - the nigh-unkillable Michael Myers AKA the Boogeyman AKA the Shape - is one of the most recognisable characters in all of fiction, with his blue overalls and creepy white mask. As is the case with any popular movie franchise, Halloween has a huge fanbase - a fanbase who like nothing more than to talk and theorise about it, no less. This video will look at ten theories devised by fans about it. Those theories are; that Michael Myers is the personification of evil itself, that Michael Myers has congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (mean that he can't feel any pain), that Michael Myers exists solely to spread fear, that Michael Myers' clown mask in the first Halloween movie was made by the Silver Shamrock company from the third Halloween movie, that Michael Myers is triggered by sex, that Michael Myers is autistic, that Michael Myers can actually talk, in spite of the fact that he is completely mute throughout the franchise, that Michael Myers is Chucky from the Child's Play franchise (yeah, we know, this one's absolutely crazy), that Dr. Sam Loomis is the same character as the character with the same name from 1960's Psycho and, finally, that it's actually Dr. Sam Loomis who is the main villain of the Halloween franchise, not Michael Myers.
