When it comes to special effects in TV shows, the reigning champ is none other than Game of Thrones. Hands down what they have done for the world of TV and creating everything from nothing will be history for students, fans, and critics to study for ages. Their special effects our mind blowing and we are going to show you some which blew our minds and most definitely yours.
The sept explosion was one of the greatest special effects moment. The green fire storm engulfing the sewer corridors and exploding through the sept and crumbling it to the ground was jaw dropping. Not to mention how shocking it was when it happened during the twenty mine almost dialogue free ending episode of season 6.
There is no way to talk about Game of Thrones special effects without talking about the dagons. From the loot train attack, to the design of the three dragons, and finally the white walker version. They are a modern special effect marvel for design, scale, and believability.
And of course there was the battle of them all every special effects list most talk about. The Battle of the Bastards. When it first aired, nothing like that had ever been done. Especially the 45 second slow mo follow of Jon Snow entrenched in the battle. On top of this pretty much every single battle scene needs to be talked about and the level and detail obtained.
Then there are subtle special effects you never would have known about. Such as Arya and her face mask. We bet you believed they were just awesome mask they had created. Nope you were wrong.
