Marvel and DC Comics, backed by their parent companies Disney and Warner Brothers respectively, have effectively taken over the pop culture landscape. With their legions of characters including Thor, Spider-Man, Superman and Wonder Woman and all their villains, they have enough matchups to last them well into the coming decades. Is that going to stop from doing this topic of ours? No chance in Mephisto’s realm.
Comic book crossover fights are nothing new. Punch in a google search of any DC vs Marvel fight you can imagine and you’re bound to pull article after article proposing some great fights that would leave wrecked universes in their wake. Those are great and all, but that isn’t exactly what we have in mind here. Instead of straight up fist fights (barring one exception, but we couldn’t resist on that one), we wanted to propose theories as to which heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could form rivalries with villainous characters from the DC Universe. Think of it as what would happen if those characters had a feud that would take course over an entire movie or comic book series and you can get an idea for what we’re thinking about here.
This opens up cool possibilities. How would Captain America fare off against the man who broke the Bat, Bane? Or what happens when billionaires in power suits face off to mold the world in their vision a.k.a Iron Man vs Lex Luthor? Those are just a couple of teases but if you want to get into it, here are 10 DC Villains Who Should Match Up MCU Heroes.
