Number 9 Lonomia Caterpillar
The larval form of the giant silkworm moth, or Lonomia obliqua, is known for its venom. The caterpillar has caused the lives of hundreds, particularly in southern Brazil. Its venom is stored in sacks at the base of each spine.

There are, however, certain aspects that make them particularly unnerving. When a honey bee stings a human, its barbed stinger usually becomes lodged in the skin.

Conus geographus is commonly known as the “cigarette snail”. Their venom contains conotoxins, neurotoxic components. Cone snails have a modified tooth that’s often compared to a dart or a harpoon. People are often tempted to pick up these creatures due to the bright colors and patterns of their shells. Symptoms may appear immediately or after a few days.
Number 6 Wasp
Commonly known as wasps, members of the Synoeca genus are known for their behavior and sting. Their venom is strong enough to cause haemolytic activity, which basically means that it breaks down red cells. According to one researcher, the sting feels like being chained inside the flow of an active volcano. As an intruder approaches a nest, hundreds of wasps will start drumming inside as a warning. They will then move to the envelope of the nest.
Number 5 Blue-Ringed Octopus
The blue-ringed octopus is arguably one of the planet’s most terrible creatures. This is due to a compound known as tetrodotoxin which is 1,200 times worse than cyanide. To make matters worse, as of 2019, there’s no blue-ringed octopus antivenom available.
Number 4 Sydney Funnel-Web Spider
Atrax robustus is also known as the Sydney funnel-web spider. This is due to a unique neurotoxic component, called delta atracotoxin. It’s also worth mentioning that the spider can strike repeatedly and deliver a full envenomation, due to its large fangs.

Despite its large size, of up to 1.2 inches, this wasp is not a particular species. YouTube personality Coyote Peterson has exposed himself to stings by the world’s most worst insects. His arm was swollen for nearly a week.
Number 2 Box Jellyfish
One species are typically found in the waters of tropical Indo-Pacific regions. Chironex fleckeri, also known as the sea wasp, is the largest box jellyfish species. The sea wasp’s tentacles can grow to be roughly 10 feet in length and they’re covered in millions of cells called cnidocytes.

The Schmidt sting pain index, which measures the intensity from insect stings, has a maximum level of 4.0. The only exception in that regard is the ant, which is listed at 4.0 +. Justin Schimdt, the creator of the scale, compared the sting to walking on hot coals with a nail stuck in your heel. It can last unabated for up to 24 hours. The initiation is complete when they have gone through the tormenting process 20 times, over the course of months or even years.
