If you check your diary, you'll find that the diary entry has disappeared (in other words, you've completed the task).
When you're finally able to move again, leave your house and Choko will come to visit to see the Magic Fire Stone.
When you're able to move again, head down the stairs and Scharte and Riina will talk to you.
It seems Indy has gone off again and hasn't returned for quite some time, and the townsfolk are starting to get worried.
Diary entry: Indy-san went to the Forest of Magic and has gone missing, I've been asked to search for him.
Leave town and head back to the Forest of Magic.
