This match took place on March 31st, 2022. And, in this match, I try out Dynamis Dice, one of the Chaos Mutators in the new Fool's Gambit mode.

With Dynamis Dice, you get to pick your die rolls every time, instead of relying on RNG. However, the catch is that once you pick a number, you cannot pick that number again until all numbers have been used. For instance, after you pick 6, you can't use 6 again until you've used up 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Better make sure you use that 1 in a timely manner, so that you don't risk getting stuck with only the 1 at a bad moment.

(Probably best to use the 1 for movement when the panel directly in front of you is a good one to land on. Or, perhaps use up your 1 for your attack in battle if you know you can't KO your target, or don't care about aggression and just want to save your big numbers for defense.)

Oh, and even better, if you are carrying the Lucky Sevens Gift card, you get to pick from the numbers 0 through 7. With that, you can plan out when to use that 0 (like if you're already standing on a good panel), as well as the 7 for big moves/bonuses/attacks. Just remember that you have to use up all of the numbers before you can pick the same number again, so try not to get stuck with only a 0 and/or a 1 at a bad time.

I really love the amount of strategy that Dynamis Dice entails, and it removes a lot of the RNG too. Granted, there's still RNG when it comes to which cards you draw from the deck, where you warp, and certain cards like Subspace Tunnel. But it's really nice to know that you can always avoid those Drop and Boss panels if you plan your numbers right, and it's far more viable to aim for anyone's home to norma.

However, if you're thinking that you can use this Chaos Mutator to help with an achievement such as "Your Home is My Home", think again. Many of the Chaos Mutators disable achievements, due to how game-breaking they can be, and Dynamis Dice is one such mode.

Still, it's well worth trying out, especially if you tend to get annoyed by dice RNG a lot. Plus, whenever you play any Fool's Gambit match online, you get one additional arcade token. (Up to a maximum of 20 such tokens per day, but who's got time to play 20 OJ games per day?)
