I haven't stopped playing, just haven't beaten this yet.
I now know what it feels like to have a better time that feels less fulfilling. I did get this like attempt 6, and half of those were restart early because I really screwed up early lap 1 attempts. Felt really good but didn't have much time. I was a friend's and got this while he was eating dinner.
Analysis: Getting closer to that point where I'll have to learn a new strategy to get better. Not quite there yet though.
Lap 1: I think I could have taken the early turns a bit tighter. I feel like the S's were slightly off but I had to hold that second one to get the mini turbo. Definitely lost runs because it just wouldn't give me the mt and I either had to hold way to long to get it or I just don't get it and fall like .3 back.
Lap 2: Slid me wide the turn before the cannon coming off the cut. The road isn't even so I guess I had an odd angle.
Lap 3: I missed getting a tire on the last conveyer boost but I was able to set up for a tighter turn because of it. Still terrible though. I think I could have taken the green path better but it was clean and so many runs are lost because I play the last lap less often. Most tracks you do the same strats each lap and get consistency but this is one long course so that's not the case the further in the track you get. If I screw up the S's I take the low route cut (which I can't do) and fail for practice. If I have a bad line in the first S and fall off I restart. Last lap could be better but it was clean. I also had some sideways momentum after the turn skip at the end. I try to take it like the wr (also learning to do that) where I land on the wall and release the mt and have no sideways momentum. If I let go of the mt in air I lose time because you don't get much of a boost if one at all if you let it go before you hit the ground. Sideways momentum isn't good but still faster than that.
