Part 13 of my playthrough / Let's Play of Baldur's Gate 1 the original 1998 version.

the portraits are from the Nexus mod 'Realistic NPC Portaits for BGEE' uploaded by NolSol
(I adjusted the sizes myself to make them usable in the original version rather than the EE)
the portaits are generated with Stable Diffusion.

I'm using the following mods;

- BG1TOSCGameTextUpdate
- BG1 Unifinished Business v16.4
- BG mini quests and encounters v26.1
- DgVoodoo release 2.81.1 to upscale and using the DDraw.dll fixed graphical bugs / glitches
- Alternative font which is included on the physical disk
of the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast called 'NORMAL.BAM' in the FONT folder.
I do not know if this file is included with a digital copy.



Baldur's Gate is a fantasy role-playing video game
that was developed by BioWare and published in 1998 by Interplay Entertainment. It is the first game in the Baldur's Gate series and takes place in the Forgotten Realms, a high fantasy campaign setting, using a modified version of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) 2nd edition rules. It was the first game to use the Infinity Engine for its graphics, with Interplay using the engine for other Forgotten Realms-licensed games, including the Icewind Dale series and Planescape: Torment.
The game's story focuses on a player-made character who travels across the Sword Coast alongside a party of companions.

The game received critical acclaim following its release and was credited for revitalizing computer role-playing games. An expansion pack was released entitled Tales of the Sword Coast, as was a sequel entitled Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, which later received its own expansion called Throne of Bhaal.
