1.4 Testing Branch First Impressions | Danny, You've Done It Again! | Atomicrops
28The 1.4 update is a new beta branch for Atomicrops available on Steam. In it, many new forms of late game content were added, as well as some balance improvements. There’s also some new QoL features added as well, specifically for the end of runs.
So if I had to define this beta in a sentence, it would be “Danny, you’ve done it again!” There’s very little I have problems with, and even then they aren’t super big deals. The new content, especially the Cat Shrines, is all excellently designed. It’s all fun yet challenging in their own rights, making for an almost renewed experience. The beta also adds much more late game content, something the game was greatly missing before. Now there’s so many more interesting options for veterans to experience and enjoy. All in all, a wonderful update, and I can’t wait to see what else Danny has planned. Specifically, I can’t wait for the additional achievements Danny has in store. From what’s been stated so far, they sound excellent and potentially challenging. Hopefully those will be just as great as everything else.
