15 Valorant Tips that will help you improve your gameplay. Can combine these tips together to optimize your gameplay. For example, timing your brimstone smoke on defense to stop pushes for 45 seconds (Don't have to overlap). Or the opposite - time your pushes right as smokes fade.
1. While running, a circle will appear around your icon on the minimap which shows how far away your footsteps can be heard.
2. Most guns are inaccurate while jumping, but shotguns have perfect accuracy in the air.
3. Phoenix's Curveball - 0.5 seconds to pop, flashes for up to 0.8 seconds.
Breach's Flashpoint - 0.5 seconds to activate, flashes enemy for up to 1.75 seconds.
Omen's Paranoia: 2 second blind, 35 meter range.
4. Left Alt [Show Teammates Loadout] - press to see what abilities are up for your teammates.
5. Brimstone Smoke: Lasts for 15 seconds and can't see through it.
Jett's smokes - lasts for 3.25 seconds
Omen's Dark Cover - lasts for 12 seconds
Cypher's Cage: Lasts for 6 seconds
Viper's Poison Cloud: Uses 6.67 fuel per second, can last up to 15 seconds.
6. Knife Damage: 50 for left click, 75 for right click, 150 for backstab right click.
7. Sage's wall has 1000 health for each segment and lasts for 40 seconds. HP starts to decay every 8 seconds. 10 knife left clicks or 7 right clicks will break a fresh wall. Satchel does 10x more damage, ranging from 250-750 damage.
8. Sage's healing orb lasts for 5 seconds, does 20 healing per second.
9. Curving abilities with your cross hair, works for Phoenix Wall and Jett Smokes. However for Jett, have to to hold down the ability key.
10. Only abilities/items you can pick up are Cypher's Camera and Tripwire, and Viper's Poison Cloud.
11. Counterstrafing - when going one direction, let go of the strafe key and lightly tap the opposite direction to stop. This allows for minimal movement firing error. More useful in CSGO, but is useful in Valorant to fully control movement.
12. Map Bind: Teleport antics - throw abilities through the teleporter. Can also use Omen's shadow step to fake it.
13. Bunnyhopping - start moving forward, jump (bind to mousewheel up or down), then time your next jump right as you hit the ground. Look left or right and press the strafe key that matches the direction you are looking.
14. Spike timings - 4 seconds to plant, 45 seconds till it blows up, 7 seconds to defuse (3.5 for halfway). Beep timings can be used for post plant options.
15. Ultimate Timings - Raze and Phoenix ult lasts for 10 seconds. Once you hear the voice line, look at the timer and you can run away for 10 seconds. Breach's ult lasts for 6 seconds if stunned, and Brimstone ult lasts for 6 seconds (2 second windup, 4 second duration) and does 120 dps.
