In Dragon Ball, power levels are everything. You can increase your power level with training, or being defeated in battle if you’re a Saiyan. However, the quickest way to gain a lot of power is to come together with another fighter and attain a power greater than the two of you. This is known as a fusion, a pretty straight forward process. Fusion in Dragon Ball is most commonly done with a fusion dance, where the two fighters perform a dance to complete the transformation. However, the are also some unconventional fusion techniques. For example, Piccolo fuses with several other Namekians in the series resulting in him becoming stronger permanently. While it does not require a dance or earrings, the fusing of two fighters does make Piccolo stronger, so it counts. Another form of fusion that is a lot more malevolent is Cell’s absorption. While this involves forcibly absorbing someone, it does make Cell stronger, so it can be included into the category of fusion.
Today, we’ll be looking at some examples of fusing that’s a lot less conventional and some of them don’t make any sense at all. Some might be very powerful fusions, but fall apart when you begin to question what exactly makes them work. Some might even be downright silly. Now, for the purposes of this list, we’re only going to be looking at fusions from the shows. We know there are more in the video games, but we feel those don’t really count as they’re not canon.
