After nearly 2 years since my old 1:56:21 PB in Pokemon Red any% glitchless, I decided maybe it was time to dabble back into games I used to run. Practiced up for nearly a week, a tireless night or two, and last night, I did live speedrun attempts. Third (and last) attempt in the session, I got this; a 1 minute 19 second overall personal best, even with huge time deficits and a couple of unfortunate luck cases. This is because I am using a new beginner-friendly route that opts to go for Water Gun + Mega Punch TMs in Mt. Moon, and (if you want to get dangerous, that is) RNG manipulate 0 encounters + a Paras, starting from near the end of Route 3 all the way down to the Rocket Grunt fight deep into Mt. Moon. Needless to say, I gotta learn what breathing is, because I forgot all about the adreanaline this game gives off when you finally seal the deal against the Champion and his blasted Pidgeot. It's glad to be back to the tamable nightmare.
