16 Bit Wars - Super Scope vs Sega Menacer Commercials | Retro Flashback
Which commercial was better?
In the 90's, playing arcade shooting style light guns games was a huge deal. Light gun technology had been around for a very long time, starting well before even the Nintendo Entertainment System made it big with Duck Hunt and the NES Zapper. In the 16-bit era, that tradition continued, but Nintendo and Sega turned up the 'attitude' with their light guns. Nintendo brought the bazooka shaped Super Scope to the market, while Sega brought the dual scoped Menacer to compete. Both had their advantages and disadvantages, but we can probably agree both were a ton of fun to play!
