Fragile Dreams is a slow-paced and poetic adventure, in which a boy desperately tries to find other survivors in a post apocalyptic world. The main character Seto, is very attaching, and you want him to succeed so badly ! While the game cover art features him and a silver haired girl, you'll spend most of the game accompanied by a ghost girl, looking for the said girl with silver hair !

The game is very melancholic and treats themes such as loneliness and death, and you travel through mostly empty, yet often beautiful environments. The gameplay isn't the game's strong point, as it mainly involves exploration and reading memos of dead people, a few fetch quests, and lackluster combat against weird enemies (some of which are beyond frustrating to deal with, like the robots at the end of the game !). What drives you forward is the hope of a happy ending for Seto, like light at the end of the tunnel. On the way you will meet a few great characters, and there are some emotional moments, but the question is, was it worth it playing this game all the way to the end ? Personally I was disappointed with the ending..

This is very much a niche game, with undeniable qualities, and I can understand why it does have fans. However I can also easily understand why this game wasn't such a huge hit and never got a sequel..
