8 matches here as I try to climb up the leaderboard. My lasts session was ok, I faced Zlazher a lot who is a strong opponent and won more than I lost. This time I face DocsWorld multiple times and he's a top 10 player.

Post video thoughts:
Match 1:
Got off to a bad start here by queuing an extra barracks up accidentally. I think the main difference here was DocsWorld managed to multitask better and expand while we were fighting while I did not do as good of a job. So he ended up with more money later while I eventually started to struggle for money. His economy was very good late game, he built 4 war factories and still had loads of unspent money while I only built 3 war factories and was struggling. And that allowed him to eventually overwhelm me.

Match 2:
I moved MCV here to try and help defend against a possible flame tower rush here. The flame tower rush came and it was quicker than expected. I usually try and block buildings with infantry to delay them base creeping into my base but there was already a barracks in my area before I got my infantry there. I should probably send infantry up to block earlier. This was a hard rush to defend, I was outnumbered infantry wise and flame towers are super useful here. I maybe should have built an extra barracks so I could keep up better with my opponents 3 barracks. Losing my refinery was a big blow, I had to stop building everything else to rebuild it and it allowed Doc to get the advantage.

Match 3:
I tried to take out Docs harvester with 3 light tanks here. I didn't manage to take it out though and I think it cost me in the later tank battles as I didn't have as many tanks as I could have had if I went for a straight up tank battle.

Match 4:
I was pretty happy with this victory. I think going to the same gems patch opening as a Soviet player on this map is about as hard as it gets for an Allies player on the quickmatch ladder. My opponent didn't try and flame tower base creep me which is surprising. Maybe my early turrets made them want to go heavy infantry instead? We both tried to take each others harvesters out and my pill boxes help me take out my opponents harvester first which won we the game.

Match 5:
So I tried to take Doc harvester out with 4 light tanks this time. I failed to take it out again though which I found surprising. I think he did a good job moving his harvesters to safety and making my light tanks take a lot of damage chasing it. Once again this put me on the back foot for the tank battle later. Eventually I decided to go for a base race as I thought it was my best bet. Doc's army started closer to my base than my army was to his and I lost the base race by a bit.

Match 6:
Doc moved to the middle here and I moved to below my ore patch. I didn't spot that Doc moved to the middle until quite a bit later otherwise I might have tried to rush him as moving to the middle means you get to mine the gems. And I think a longer game suits the player who moved middle. I went with 2 refineries and 4 harvesters though so my economy was pretty decent. I sent a couple of tanks to his base to maybe harass his harvester or something but he had a Tesla tower up so I backed off. He came to attack me with his tanks and I was eventually able to push them back. He attacked me with a group of infantry from the other side while this was happening and took out my refinery. I sold my con yard and went for an all in at that point. I was able to overwhelm his army and win the game with my attack. I think even though he moved middle and was mining the gems, the fact that he only had 2 harvesters on his 2 refineries meant that he got into money trouble earlier than me and that lost him the game. I guess he had lag too based on his comment next match and that never helps in tank battles.

Match 7:
Doc asked if I could turn my lag off at the beginning of this match. I doubt he actually thinks I'm the reason for his lag and if I was, I doubt he thinks I'd have to ability to turn it off. He's played long enough and is involved enough in the community to know EA servers on this game are rubbish. I think he just wanted to let me know that he only lost because of lag in the last match and be a bit of a dick in the process by implying it's somehow my fault. Anyways I was always super unlikely to beat Doc on this map. I'm bad at this map and I think he's pretty good at it and Soviets have the advantage anyway.

This wasn't the best session. I don't think I played bad though, I think I just faced a really good player in lots of matches. Lest session when I faced Doc I won twice and lost once and I thought I was getting really good. But this session really showed the gap between us.
