1944: The Loop Master by Capcom Gameplay
Friday Night: Retro Games Night. Tonight I play 1944: The Loop Master by Capcom. A vertical scrolling shooter arcade in 2000. But instead of the usual vertical portrait screen orientation, it is a horizontal screen but still vertical scrolling. Unlike previous games, the programming for this arcade was done by a separate company called 8ing/Raizing. The game is the 5th of a series of World War II vertical shooters made by Capcom; the 19XX series. The game takes place in the heated battles of 1944 during the Second World War as two super ace pilots, P-38 Lightning and Mitsubishi A6M Zero are attempting to defeat an entire army. It is the sequel to 19XX: The War Against Destiny and uses the arcade cabinet CPS2 System. The gameplay has a charge up system. Hold the fire button to charge your power bar. When fully charged, your plane can become invincible for a brief moment.I like the rock music, and the design of the bosses, plus the bonus assist in the form of 2 mini planes flying by your side to aid in fire power.
