9Produced as an attempt to enter the racing scene, but failed miserably was the Wendover 3800 S/C CVT. It features a 3.8L V6 engine with a supercharger pushing out 20+ PSI resulting in 0-60 times of 2.5 seconds and a reliable CVT. People saw this as unrealstically fast and never thought of the idea to purchase one in addition to the very high price it sales at and the only avilable transmission offered being a CVT. Only 1,200 units were produced with many being sold at a dealership level price past the original msrp. This mint condition Wendover that is being driven lives on as a car that failed to capture many enthusiasts' attention and is a one of a kind Unicorn car.
