Star Wars The Power of the Force Kenner Electronic X-WING and TIE FIGHTER were the quintessential vehicles for the 1996 return of Star Wars to the toy shelf. Modeled after the original 1978 versions, there are some upgrades and downgrades depending on your thoughts. No longer are there ancient motors inside. The TIE has no electronics, but the X-Wing is upgraded with real movie sounds. We take a close look at these toys in this retro review.
