12This is a 1 credit clear of Hard Drivin', made by Atari and relesed in arcades in 1989.
This game was a pretty advanced driving simulator for its time with a 900 degree rotation steering wheel, turn key and h-gate shifter. I don't remember if it had a clutch but I believe it had force feedback or some kind of equivalent. And for it's time it had some pretty advanced physics.
The goal of the game is to do atleast 2 laps before the timer runs out. That qualifies you to a head to head race against a fast AI. Beat the AI and your lap will be displayed in the attract mode.
The track features a stunt section, with loops, jumps and banked turns and a speed section which features high speed cornering.
This beast of a cabinet was a main stay in my local burger place for years and years.
