2This is a 1 credit clear of Race Drivin', made by Atari and relesed in arcades in 1990.
This game was a pretty advanced driving simulator for its time with a 900 degree rotation steering wheel, turn key and h-gate shifter. It had force feedback or some kind of equivalent. And for it's time it had some pretty advanced physics. You can clearly feel when you are on the edge of grip and if you start to skid, you can catch the car naturally by counter steering.
The goal of the game is to do atleast 2 laps before the timer runs out. That qualifies you to a head to head race against a fast AI. Beat the AI and your lap will be displayed in the attract mode.
The track features a stunt section, with loops, jumps and banked turns and a speed section which features high speed cornering.
