1CCBBH - 572. Lightning Swords / Ken-Go (1 Loop Clear)
11A horizontal hack & slash that went under the radar for a lot of people, due to it being an arcade exclusive with no home port (and either limited or no US distribution?). A lot of people compare this game to Ninja Spirit because it's an Irem game, although I'd say this game is not as evil as that. Gameplay mostly consists of holding down a button to do your charged attack to kill everything since the regular attack is terrible. Game can be a little unforgiving since life-ups aren't very common, and dying makes you lose any health extensions and sword power-ups, so you're just likely to die again when you start a new life with 4 HP and most enemy attacks do 2+. Had a lot of failed attempts where I died early and couldn't recover, then finally everything came together on the last stage. Loop 2 is scary because they put in more enemies AND gave them more HP, I ended up making it to 2-4 before game over.
