7While many a Samurai may opt to instead fight on foot as to directly and 'fairly' honor their challenged foes, the animal companions that serve as the Mount of a Samurai are highly trained and capable creatures not to be taken for granted.
Through training and developing alongside the Samurai, these mounts become far more capable than their baseline, untrained counterparts and are able to strike more ferociously, perform incredible feats of willpower and endure damage that would otherwise down their lesser kin.
