Part 2 of Scenario 1

We get introduced to the original Gaiking with a flippin' sweet FMV gattai sequence.

Then the whole crew of the Daikyuu Maryuu has their intros normally. I'm not sure how I feel about Gaiking since the original series hasn't been subbed, but this game kindled an interest in it, and I'll probably watch the 2005 series at some point.

AS UNITS, the Gaiking team is pretty solid, with all of the dino mech pilots having a nice SP pool later, and Sanshiro's being pretty decent as well. The Gaiking itself is pretty powerful, getting a couple of decent attacks later, with its ultimate attack being a really good squad killer. Unfortunately a lot of its good attacks are ammo based and they don't have B Save in this game, so having to rely on a lot of its weaker attacks is a bit of a pain. I wish I had used it more since it is probably pretty powerful with max weapon upgrades.

The Daikyuu Maryuu is a complete beast of a ship and a lot of its attacks are melee range and they're very strong. The only problem is that it shares an attack with Gaiking, and it is technically a 'combo' attack, but if you use the ammo on the Daikyuu Maryuu, you also use it for Gaiking. Womp.

The stage is pretty straight forward since it is the beginning of the game. KILL ALL THE THINGS. Easy. Then Sanger runs off after Kukuru because she is Grade A quality bitch in his book.
