This is what I consider to be a balanced build within a $2,000 budget. The CPU and GPU combo fit well together and can equally handle high FPS gaming at lower resolutions and high detail gaming at 4K. Everything in this build is quality, there are no shortcuts taken.
It has a solid CPU that will provide years of great performance and should age gracefully as newer platforms are released.
The motherboard is quality without being excessive, it's got everything you need and nothing extra that you don't.
The RAM is the solid entry level choice for any new PC build, 64GB would be nice, but it is hard to put into this budget and not hurt something else.
The GPU is a solid option that will play any game today and tomorrow. With 24GB of VRAM, you will run out of GPU compute power before you run out of VRAM.
The SSD is absolutely the "deal" in terms of what you get for the money. Premium, top of the line, without being a top of the line price.
The Case, PSU, and cooler are matched items that will fit very well together. Corsair is a personal preference, you might have your own.
There are many alternative parts that you could build a $2,000 PC from, this is designed to be a starting guide to give you an idea of what you can expect from this budget. Your preference of brand may be different, your choice of AMD vs Intel, AMD vs NVidia, might well vary from this. Each option has its own tradeoffs.

Note: It is possible the Z690 board will come without a BIOS to support 13th gen, this is easy enough to fix thanks to BIOS flashback, a process that takes about 10 minutes and will update the BIOS without a compatible CPU installed.
