For the second week in a row, a new team stood atop the college football rankings. Once again, the number-one team was the victim of an upset with the Ohio State Buckeyes dropping their week seven 2010 game to the Wisconsin Badgers.7
Ohio State was replaced by the 6-0 Oregon Ducks in the AP, USA Today Coaches and Harris Interactive College Football Polls.8 The Ducks however did not see the same respect in the BCS Standings, which were released for the first time of the 2010 season on October 17.9
Despite being lower in the human polls, the Oklahoma Sooners were ranked first in the computer rankings, which turned out to be just enough to make them number one in the BCS rankings. Oregon was just behind in second.
