in 2012 a very powerful hybrid storm swept through the north east packing winds of 80 mph or more. its wind field expanded for over a thousand miles all the way to wisconson from new jersey, it had characteristics of a hurricane and a Nor'easter. It was unlike anything anyone had seen since the 1991 halloween storm. Once it hit western PA, it dumped a lot of rain, and heavy snow in the mountains. Because of this, A once Quiet, dredged out Creek in Westmoreland County, had turned into a dangerous and treacherous river. its cresting is responsible for the rescues of 30 people who lived along its banks. The Creek is at its highest level of all time. surpassing that of Hurricane Agnes in 1972 and Hurricane Gracie in 1959. This story was featured on CNN's iReport.
