2014 NFL DRAFT | Pro Comparisons | Top 5 Safetys | Ha Ha Clinton Dix
5th: Dion Bailey of USC Trojans reminds me of Louis Delmas of the Detroit Lions. Maybe the best pure athlete at the safety position in this year's draft, I think he has a very high ceiling and would be a great fit on any team that needs to add depth and wants to build a star for the future.
4th: Deone Bucannon of the Washington State Cougars reminds me of Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson. Both have the idea size for today's safety as well as can lay the boom on opposing wide receivers. I would imagine Bucannon would have to dial his vicious hits down a little for Goodells No Fun League, but hes going to be a beast for years to come.
3rd: Calvin Pryor from Louisville Cardinals reminds me of Mark Barron of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I think Pryors coverage game is a little better than the aforementioned Bucannon, much like Barrons is of Goldson. Pryor can still develop his coverage skills, but is one of the more pro ready safeties and again can deliver vicious hits.
2nd: Craig Loston of the LSU Tigers reminds me of Reshad Jones of the Miami Dolphins. Loston is the best nature strong safety in this year's draft and I think come draft time that will help his stock. He possess the size most teams would want, another vicious hitter, above average in coverage, but the best tackling form I've seen out of every safety. This dude won't miss tackles, and will be a sleeper in this year's draft.
1st: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix of the Alabama Crimson Tide reminds me of Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs. I think Clinton-Dix is the most pro ready out of all the safeties mentioned and is very good at everything a good safety should have. Great tackler, big hitter, great in coverage, good hands and ideal size. I think he'll be a top 15 pick, and be a pro bowler within his first 3 years in the league.
