2017 Austrian GP Recap, New Engines in 2021, British GP leaving Silverstone? - F1 Drive-Through #9
Did Valtteri Bottas jump the start or does he have superhuman reflexes? That question might be the most interesting one out of the 2017 Austrian Grand Prix. Sky Sports says that Bottas' start reaction time was less than 0.04s. The FIA says Bottas' reaction time was 0.2s. One is illegal and the other is safe.
Other than the relatively dull Austrian GP, there was some F1 news worth talking about since Baku. The FIA held a hearing about Vettel running into Hamilton. Christian Horner waded into the 2018 driver market by talking about Carlos Sainz's 2018 plans. New engine manufacturers are looking at F1 in 2021. And Silverstone is expected to break its British GP contract.
