"Intro Calc - it's the place to be"
A song written by me back in 2007 when I was in year 11 doing the subject "Introductory Calculus" at school. I was just remembering this song today, so I decided to hop on the keyboard and record it! 😃
Also, I finally figured out why so many of my recordings in the past were all choppy and shit, it's because of this sound software on my computer that's supposed to cancel out the background noise coming through my microphone to make it more crisp and clear. Unfortunately, it was detecting a lot of the music from the keyboard as "noise" and thus kept trying to soften it out. I disabled this feature now so my recordings sound a lot better 🙂

Lyrics:
Working out the velocity
Logarithms in base e
Integrals and adding c
And differentiation

Working out instantaneous change
Finding the highest point in range
Those graphs that look a little strange
That give you acceleration

Differentiation and integration, logarithmic calculation
Exponentiation, acceleration, and optimisation

Introductory Calculus, yeah it's the place to be
Optimising polynomials of orders 2 and 3
And geometric sequences, sum to infinity
Intro Calc, yeah it's the place to be!

Taking the limit to zero
Finding how fast the population grows
Low d high take high d low
Velocity with direction

Cost, profit, and revenue
dy dx times dx du
Second derivative and sign test too
To work out points of inflection

Those times we spent, working out the rent
Increasing 10% every day!
And those powers of e, stopping the disease
Oh, people dying, exponential decay!
Doing optimisation with differentiation
Smallest area, how big and how wide?
And when you're given the speed, but it's position you need...
Just integrate and find the area inside!

Introductory Calculus, yeah it's the place to be
Optimising polynomials of orders 2 and 3
And geometric sequences, sum to infinity
Intro Calc, yeah it's the place to be!
