Starting with the styling hasn’t changed to much for 2020, I would like to see LED headlights offered on this car, but other than that the front grill looks very aggressive and I think is aging really nicely. Now there is a non functional hood scoop, which you would also get in the trd pro, while that does bug me I do like the way it looks when you drive it. It kinda reminds me of the bmw m3 power bulge.
Going on to the side, there isn’t to much going on here. You have your 17 inch rims which are well sized for the car. I would recommend more aggressive tred for serious off roading. One of the coolest things about this car is the TRD off road badging. I love where they put it on this car and in this specific color. It is color matched and I think it has a really custom look to it.
Going on to the back, you have your iconic rear window which can roll down allowing you to fit big things and also just let through some fresh air. This car does have a chrome tipped exhaust. Other than that it is unchanged from last year.
Ok lets step in side the big thing you will notice is how rugged the interior feels. I feel like everything here is just over sized and it really gives you the that robust experience. New for 2020 is the 8 inch infotainment system with apple car play and android auto. I like the usb ports on this car and compartments just infront of the gear shifter.
You do have carbon fiber like plastic around the center console which is kinda cheasy if you are particular about that stuff. But what really matters is the 4wd shifter. THIS is why you get the trd off road. Now ill show you how to shift it right here.
You can shift from h2 to h4 while driving up to 50 mph. to shift from h4 to l4 and back you need to be at a complete stop and shifted into neutral. Please don’t try it while driving or you may here some nasty grinding.
