80The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is a midsize three-row SUV that’s all-new for 2021. It’s bigger than the standard Jeep Grand Cherokee and is the first Jeep in over a decade with three rows of seats.
Jeep calls the Grand Cherokee L a full-size SUV, but its dimensions are more in line with bigger midsize three-row crossovers like the Kia Telluride, Chevrolet Traverse, and Dodge Durango. The Grand Cherokee L is not quite as big as more traditional body-on-frame full-size SUVs like the Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition. In case you’re wondering, it’s a little longer and a little wider than the Jeep Commander; the brand’s half-hearted shot at a three-row SUV from the 2000s.
A diverse model range means that the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has its sights set on mainstream family crossovers like the Honda Pilot and Ford Explorer while also targeting more luxurious entries like the Land Rover Discovery and Acura MDX.
