HUGE thank you to the Starship Sim folks for giving me a beta key even though the game isn't in public preview form! I absolutely adore this project and the more I learn about it, the more I love it. I had to take a second look at the game because I missed some things the first time through, including the character customization system and the ship customization system. Both are in progress but you can already do some fun stuff with them.
After taking a look at those, I spent some time just flying the ship around to various parts of the galaxy, getting a feel for how the sensors work, how to read the information they give you to understand what kinds of stars you're visiting and where the good planets are likely to be, how long it takes to travel to various places, etc.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the next big update and public preview.
