2023 Cadillac Lyriq vs 2022 BMW IX: Comparison Test!
Cadillac lyriq vs BMW IX: they are medium and large SUVs of luxury brands. Where is the price difference of 400000?
BMW iX Vs Tesla, Cadillac, Audi And Rivian: Price, Range Compared.
Cadillac's first entrant into the luxury electric vehicle market will be the Lyriq SUV, which offers sharp styling and a modern cabin. Cadillac says that both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive models will be offered, and that its new SUV will have a driving range of more than 300 miles. The Lyriq has been designed from the ground up and will ride on General Motors' new scalable battery architecture; the company claims a low center of gravity and a spacious cabin as benefits of the dedicated EV-architecture. The Lyriq should be on sale sometime in early 2022 as a 2023 model.
What's New for 2023?
Not only is Lyriq a brand-new nameplate for the American luxury brand, it's also Cadillac's first all-electric offering. When it goes on sale, it'll go head to head with heavy hitters such as the Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and Tesla Model X.
BMW takes a huge next step into electric luxury vehicles with the iX. Although the i3 and i8 showed BMW's clear interest in alternative-powertrain cars, the new iX is a fully electric look into the brand's future. With a projected driving range of about 300 miles, the dual-motor 2022 BMW iX is an electric SUV that can seat five in comfort and still manage a run to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, the automaker says.
BMW's next-generation electric SUV comes only in AWD, with one electric motor driving the front axle and one driving the rear. In xDrive50 specification, they combine for a total of 516 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque. The iX xDrive50's estimated 300-mile range puts it firmly in Tesla Model X and Model Y territory. BMW estimates that with this powertrain, the iX can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
Performance increases in the iX M60. With its M-specific motor design, combined output is 532 hp and 749 lb-ft of torque. However, engaging Sport Boost mode takes power to 610 hp, and activating Launch mode temporarily increases torque to 811 lb-ft. BMW's range estimate for the iX M60 drops to 280 miles. So does its 0-60 mph time, down to just 3.6 seconds.
Design

Unlike the upcoming electric X3, there's nothing subtle about the iX's interior or exterior design. BMW's controversial and enormous new front grille design makes an impression up front, while up top is a panoramic roof that's the largest glass roof ever fitted to a BMW. Inside, the 2022 iX could be just the vehicle for BMW fans tired of the same basic interior design in every new BMW. From the hexagonal steering wheel to the front seats' integrated headrests and interesting choice of stitching and materials, the 2022 BMW iX is clearly no ordinary luxury vehicle.
How Much? And What's the Release Date?

Expect the 2022 BMW iX to arrive in U.S. dealers early in the 2022 calendar year; preordering begins in June 2021. Once it does, the iX will compete with other electric luxury SUVs, including everything from both Tesla SUVs (Model X and Model Y) as well as the Audi E-Tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Pricing for a 2022 BMW iX xDrive50 will start in the mid-$80,000 range. That puts it above some of the competition, but if the BMW can really manage a 300-mile driving range, there's huge value that puts this comfortably sized SUV beyond nearly every competitor except Tesla.
With such a high sticker price, the 2022 BMW iX xDrive50 will come with many premium features. An 18-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system is standard, but you can spring for the upsized 30-speaker Bowers and Wilkins system, which integrates some speakers into the SUV's seats. A four-zone climate control system and head-up display are also included, as is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The iX boasts a curved display that integrates together the 12.3-inch driver dash display and the massive 14.9-inch central control display to form what appears to be a single unit angled toward the driver. There's even an interior camera in case anyone makes off with your iX and you need to grab a photo of the thief.
BMW's advancements extend to the iX's exterior, too. Flush door handles require just a touch to become usable, and access is afforded via digital key. The strips of LED headlights at the front corners are the slimmest BMW has ever made for a production vehicle.
