49The much-anticipated Acura Integra has finally made its comeback, and it's everything the fans have been waiting for. While the base model may not have met everyone's expectations, Acura has stepped up its game with the all-new 2024 Type S performance model, ensuring that the Integra remains a prominent player in the sport-compact arena.
Taking inspiration from the Honda Civic, the Type S incorporates several components from the popular Civic Type R hatchback, resulting in an incredibly powerful vehicle. It's powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine that pumps out an impressive 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, which is a bump of 5 horsepower compared to the Civic. Acura attributes this increase to the Integra's unique exhaust system, although it's likely also intended to give drivers some bragging rights. Some features that are not available on the Civic Type R, such as a head-up display and a 16-speaker ELS audio system, are included in the Integra Type S. The front seats are heated, and the driver's seat is power-adjustable with an adjustable lumbar support. The Type S is a four-seater and no longer has a center rear seating position. The 9.0-inch touchscreen display is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.
