2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray – Fastest Corvette Ever - Electric Hybrid AWD Corvette / Chevy Corvette 2024

CHEVROLET GIVES THE WORLD AN ELECTRIFIED ALL WHEEL DRIVE CORVETTE FOR ITS 70th BIRTHDAY.

The E-Ray is the fastest production Corvette in history, employs an advanced electrified propulsion system in addition to its 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8, to provide all-season performance and stability — with a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 10.5 seconds.

E-Ray is also the only sports car that combines naturally aspirated V-8 power with electrified responsiveness powered by e-All Wheel Drive, making it one-of-a-kind.

The Corvette driving experience is defined by a near-instant sense of thrust from low-end torque, and the E-Ray has plenty of it. The 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8 produces 495 horsepower and 470 pound-foot of torque to the rear axle. It is supplemented by an electric motor that sends an additional 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels, via a 1.9 kilo Watt hour battery pack located between the seats. E-Ray generates a total of 655 horsepower from both the electric motor and the Small Block V-8.

The intelligent E-All Wheel Drive system from E-Ray is constantly learning the road surface and adapting to meet traction conditions and driver needs. E-All Wheel Drive Ray's system applies additional power to the front wheels during spirited driving and in low traction environments, helping to improve vehicle stability.

The E-battery Ray's system does not require plug-in charging. The battery is charged through regenerative energy generated by coasting and braking, as well as normal driving.

The electrified propulsion system of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray, provides exhilarating acceleration to power out of corners, and effortlessly complete passing maneuvers. At startup, it can also provide limited all-electric propulsion at the driver's discretion.

The electric motor is used by E-standard Ray's Active Fuel Management system, to extend 4-cylinder operation in various driving scenarios.

Each of the Corvette E-six Ray's driver-selectable modes, Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, My Mode, and Z-Mode, has its own amount of electric assist. Drivers can also activate the Charge+ feature, which maximizes the state of charge of the battery.

In certain conditions, the Corvette E-two Ray's driver-activated electric modes allow the vehicle to travel on electric propulsion. The electric motor improves track performance as well.

When Stealth Mode is selected at start-up, it allows for all-electric driving for a short period of time before the engine kicks in for normal driving. It has a top speed of 45 mph and is intended for quiet exits from neighborhoods. If the vehicle's speed exceeds the limit, the driver requests more torque, or the E-battery Ray's pack is depleted, the engine automatically engages.

When it comes to maximizing track performance with the electrified propulsion system, E- Ray's e-All Wheel Drive control system applies torque to the front axle as needed. The Charge+ feature can be used to maximize battery charge for extended laps.

The custom-designed Performance Traction Management (PTM) modes work in tandem with the e-All Wheel Drive propulsion system to maximize traction.

E-design Ray's builds on the refined athletic styling and performance-driven design that Corvette customers have come to expect.

At first glance, the E-Ray shares the Z O 6's purposeful, wide-body proportions, which accommodate wide wheels that help manage the car's higher torque delivery. The lightweight alloy wheels feature an exclusive E-Ray twisted five-spoke star design.

The E-Ray also debuts the all-new Artemis Dipped interior, which features complementary deep green tones on nearly every interior surface and will be available only on Corvettes in 2024. Customers can personalize their E-interior Ray's in a variety of ways, including two carbon fiber trim packages, three seat options, seven interior colors, and more.

There are also new Charge+ and Start/Stop buttons on the console, as well as updates to the infotainment system and instrument cluster to provide a more integrated appearance.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray will go on sale in 2023, with an MSRP of $104,295 for the 1LZ coupe and $111,295 for the 1LZ convertible model, and will be manufactured at GM's Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky, using domestic and global parts.
