Welcome to the slightly un-optimized but very atmospheric demon that is CRUCIFY by Glacier. It is very triple six / skyyee / greafer inspired, and is certainly an iterative work rather than something original, but I do really like the execution of this level despite that. The atmosphere especially in the predrop is very strong, as well as at the drop. A lot of things are done right.
Though, I do feel like the drop does the same stuff too much and drags on for too long without developing more as the level goes on. It would have been nice to have a different styled section with more intensity or different design near the end, despite the small length, it would do a lot for the overall cohesiveness and quality of the level.
The gameplay is of course very memory based, very similar to that in triple six, and doesn't seem too bad or buggy to play. I like it.
In the end, I really want to keep an eye on Glacier to see more of what they make, because for a first level this is very promising.
