Metal Gear Solid V is a Stealth Action game and is the 5th Installment in the main title of the Metal Gear Franchise which is a direct continuation of the story and events that occurred on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. This game is divided into two main games, namely, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. MGSV: GZ covers the events directly after the story of MGS: PW in which Big Boss will need to infiltrate Camp Omega to rescue his subordinates, namely, Chico and Paz. While MGSV: TPP will continue further the story that occurred in MGSV: GZ in which Big Boss will build a new army in the name of vengeance.

Both games included new elements in its classic gameplay by making it into an open world game. As well as including new game style like the buddy system, how you can manage your Motherbase, its staff, etc. and gives the players the freedom to finish their missions in their own preffered style of play.

The first installment of the series (MGSV: GZ) has received an average or disappointing reviews and scores due to its very short campaign and unsatisfying plot while being given a full price at its release. However, the second installment (MGSV: TPP) in the game has enjoyed critical acclaim among gamers and critics, garnering over 90% average score on all gaming platforms it was released and was also given numerous awards specifically its 28 Game of the year awards it received from multiple game studios and critics. Praise was given to its transition to an open world style of gameplay, its diverse weapons, smooth gameplay and graphics. However, this game also received criticism to its weak plotline and characters which is the known main strength of the franchise as well as having major controversy specifically since many considered this game as incomplete due to the fact that unreleased cutscenes where found on its files. This issue could be caused by the declining relationship between the developers and the publishers. Regardless, it can still be considered as a great game. Enjoy!
