2.6 Phototaxis, but without 6-Star Units Pt 7: Free Will (Reverse: 1999)
Team: Dikke (R10 / P5), Pavia (Maxed Out + Elucidation), Tennant (R10 + Elucidation / P5), Leilani (Maxed Out), Sweetheart (R10 + Aspirational / P5), Desert Flannel (R10 / P3), Mesmer Jr (Level 1 lol), White Rum (Insight 2)
Another really annoying fight, though unlike the previous Phototaxis stage, it's possible to get by without using a specific Thought Process. I actually used Cognitive Dissonance (the shield powerup) the first time but I didn't like how long the fight was, so I redid it quicker, with a faster scaling Thought Process.
CC is really, really important in this fight. The enemies are scripted to free cast their Ults unless we use characters like Sweetheart, White Rum and Mesmer Jr to lock them down. But we can't ignore the shielder either, as his shields will out-sustain all of our lower rarity DPS units if we let him.
You would ideally take out the shielder, the sniper and the footsolder in that order (the shielder is obvious but the sniper is responsible for all the annoying locked Incantations) but I ended up killing the footsoldier second. It's not a run ending problem, it's just annoying to deal with locked cards.
I ended up really liking this and the Ice Carbuncle stage. I hope the last two stages continue to increase the difficulty.
