While experimenting a bit with Quadratus to get better at the fight, I started wondering whether it was possible to get on him without shooting his foot. It felt like it had to be possible so I tried out a few ideas and sure enough one of them worked. There is the story mode method of jumping on his back from above the cave right when the fight starts, but that's not possible in Time Attack.

Getting on Quadratus like this feels a bit similar to getting on Phaedra by climbing the hind leg, but this is more difficult for sure. There are no edges to grab onto, you've gotta jump the whole time to keep your balance, and you need to take advantage of a specific Quadratus animation (where he tries to stomp on you) in order to get all the way up to the fur. I doubt this method is faster for speedrunning but it's an interesting challenge on its own.

The idea here was to defeat the colossus without using the bow, on Hard mode, under the Time Attack goal, and in Mirrored World.

No Bow just means you don't fire the bow over the course of the fight at all.
