3-22 using Base Identities at Level 20 | Limbus Company
Disclaimer:
Spoiler alert for some, but I removed most of the story. The Dungeon Boss though might contain spoilers so beware. I used Impending Day because heal and blunt for the stages, but for the boss fight it was all base EGOs. My recorded footage also totaled 4 hours and 9 minutes. That's because of the retries, the full story since I was reading it, and the loading screens. Gregor was never used and he is Uptie I so there's no support passive.
Notes:
It was my first time clearing this dungeon and it was amazing. There were a lot of frustating moments where I have 45 sanity, but all three coins roll tails while my enemy with 0 sanity all rolls heads on all its three coins. That was incredibly annoying.
Oh and I ran out of storage space just after the fight concluded (thankfully) so I wasn't able to capture anything after I won so the summary is only made up of screenshots. I only had 230 mb left.
This game is really good. I've played a lot of mirror dungeon before this, but I learned a lot while doing 3-22. I just realized that if you're in an abnormality battle and your units have a higher speed than a target, the unit that you register the attack last among all your units with a higher speed will be the one that clashes.
An example:
Outis, Ryoshu, and Sinclair have 5, 4, and 4 speed, respectively. The enemy target has 3 speed.
If the order in which you issued an attack (skill) is Outis, Ryoshu, and Sinclair, it will be Sinclair that will clash with the target. Outis and Ryoshu will attack for free since they are faster than Sinclair and Sinclair is the one clashing.
This is useful if the target is about to be staggered and it has a strong attack you don't want to clash with. You can use your strong skills or skills that the target is weak too first and then use the weakest as the last so the strong skills will definitely damage the target and stagger it leaving the weak skill to even go through and not clash with the target.
I love that the difficulty and self-imposed restriction made me realize this because I really wanted to make the team work.
For the normal battles, I believe there's a mechanic to use there as well since I sometimes change targets when I use an E.G.O or maybe that was just me seeing things.
Kromer Fight:
I thought it was over. Honestly. I though I was done for. The sliver of health from the stagger threshold. My goodness. Heathcliff awoo! Awoo!
I didn't know it was an AoE attack so I just allowed it to go through without clashing with it. I though one unit might get staggered or die, but the enemy is already done the next turn so it's all good. I almost lost it, but gladly I didn't give up and retry the stage and saw it through.
Truly do not give up until the end. Level 13 Meursault tanked those hits really well. Heathcliff really is the MVP, but the debuffs from Meursault's EGO allowed me to even contest this boss.
It felt really satisfying, but that moment when I thought the win slipped away was something.
Also, Outis failing that check was annoying. I lost a 70.2% chance since I have 45 sanity on her. Bruh. This could've been smoother if I won that because I saw a video after that it staggers Kromer for free if you win that check. Bruh.
If I won that, my team wouldn't have died. Oh and this is the one of the times or the only time I'm glad paralysis is not working since Heathcliff will only do a maximum of 6 (attack up included) each attack with the added bonus of 120% and 121%. That's 13.2 and 13.26 which is 26.46 and Kromer had 31 HP left.
Anyway, that was an amazing run even if it was frustrating. I got the idea from playing a couple of mirror dungeons with base identities.
Good luck!
