Bored Ape Yacht Club, part of the anonymous NFT company Yuga Labs, announced that its NFTs worth $3 million were stolen after its social media account was hacked.
NFT company named Bored Ape Yacht Club, owned by Yuga Labs, announced that it was hacked from its social media account. Greg Solano, one of the owners of the collection, shared on his Twitter account that 3 million dollars worth of NFT was stolen from the collection.
Hackers, who took over the official Instagram account of the collection, shared a link that led to the copy of the original site. Individuals who accessed the NFT accounts of users who clicked on the link were able to access their Ethereum wallets.
$3 MILLION STOLEN
Sharing that some NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht collection were also stolen during the hack, the company announced that 77 NFTs were stolen from users' wallets. In addition to NFTs worth 3 million dollars in total, some rare NFTs worth 2.4 million were also stolen during the hack.
