1:46 | Step 2 - Run EverQuest on a single CPU core

1.) Open a web browser and use the link above to go to the Project 1999 Wiki's 'Players: Technical / Affinity' article

2.) On your desktop, right click and select text document from 'New'

3.) Save the file as 'A_Run_Everquest.bat', making sure to select "All files" under the 'Save as Type'. DO NOT leave it as a text file. It will not run.

4.) Copy the contents from the 'Players: Technical / Affinity' page

5.) Open your EQ directory

6.) Copy the EQ directory path and paste it over the 'C:\EQLite' found on the 'SET _AppFolder' line

7.) Enter the number of CPU cores you have at line 'SET /a _MaxCPU'. If you don't know, press 'Ctrl' + 'Alt' + 'Del'. Select the 'Performance' tab, then CPU. It states the number of your cores underneath the graph.

8.) Save the file

9.) Place the file in your EQ directory

10.) Open the game by clicking on the 'A_Run_Everquest.bat' file

4.) Extract the contents of the zip folder into the desktop folder

5.) Open your EQ directory

6.) Copy 'dgVoodooCpl' into your EQ directory

7.) Open the 'MS' folder from the dgVoodoo folder on the desktop

8.) Open 'x86'

9.) Copy files from inside 'x86' to your EQ directory

10.) In the EQ directory, double click dgVoodooCpl

11.) Under dgVoodoo's 'General' tab select your graphics card from the 'Adapter(s) to use / enable' drop down

12.) Under ' Appearance' choose whether you play in Fullscreen or Windowed

13.) Select the 'DirectX' tab

14.) Set your VRAM to something your graphics card can support

15.) Uncheck 'dgVoodoo Watermark' unless you want it (sorry Dege!)
