Dead Space 1 Walkthrough with the Line Gun only (Difficulty: Medium, New Game, Xbox360).  

I finally manage to put the Marker on the Pedestal - now the Hive Mind should go back to its original resting place. But Kendra destroys our plan once again - she also reveals the most devastating truth, and I learn that I’ve been manipulated all along, just like Dr Kyne and Captain had been. Now the Hive Mind is out of control and I must face its wrath...

It's the end of my Line Gun Only Challenge - it's been painful at times in certain situations, but as I learn to live with it, I had a great fun! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it :D

= Hive Mind (Final Boss) - Line Gun Strategy =
In this boss fight, the targets are constantly moving in distance; so the Line Gun has a huge disadvantage due to its ammo's traveling time and a lag between each shot. The key is to dodge tentacles and wait for an opportunity!

Here’s the tips for the Line Gun:

Phase 1:
Initially, your goal is to destroy three Yellow Organs. A few shots can take care of them easily, but don't destroy them too soon. SPREAD DAMAGE TO ALL ORGANS before you destroy the third organ. Keep changing the target rather than focusing on one at a time - it will save your neck in the next phase.

Phase 2:
This is the most difficult stage for the Line Gun. Once you destroy three organs, you’ll be dragged up in the air. You won't have much time to adjust to the situation, because if you don't destroy the remaining two Yellow Organs in time, the Hive Mind will devour you and it's game over.

But if you took my advice and have already given enough damage, you should only need a shot or two to destroy them.

Phase 3:
Now your goal is to destroy five Yellow Sacks. At this stage, launch a mine every time it opens up the chest. The Hive Mind may throw a pair of Pregnants which have Swarmers inside. If Swarmers break out, I won't waste ammo on them as they won't damage Isaac (in the upgraded RIG). They also somehow protect Isaac from the tentacle attack while swarming around you, so you can safely wiggle them away.

= Lots of Supply on the Shuttle! =
When Isaac gets on the shuttle after the boss battle, he's welcomed by lots of supplies on the floor! In case you're wondering, I dropped items on the shuttle at the beginning of Chapter 12-1, but didn't get a chance to collect them.
