#391 Tekken 5 PS2 \\ Story Battle - worst Jin play-through ever : P
1I had it in my head that Jin and Kazuya were usually equally overpowered demigods in Tekken. In Tekken 5 on PS2, Kazuya is definitely demigod status, if not outright god. So I thought Jin would be able to crush his way through his Story Battle without batting an eye, too--and I mean, without me having to know how to use him.

Didn't go that way. His down-forward right punch uppercut frequently fails to launch; there's a shockwave effect near the opponent's feet, like they're able to resist being pulled off the ground by it. It also doesn't have particularly good range. His forward-forward right punch knockdown has tricky range. His down-forward right kick is really slow. His up-forward right kick jump kick launcher is reasonably effective, but I couldn't find an easy damaging juggle for it. His forward-both-punches was unreliable and too short ranged. So basically, pretty much all the moves I've found I've been able to spam on Jinpachi with other characters, did not work for Jin.
This was shocking and I resisted believing it, and flailed around a lot. Did they weaken him like this on purpose? Actually, story-wise, he *is* weaker than in 4, I guess. Huh.
Anyway, after repeatedly failing (some failures only that tantalizing pixel away, which just makes them worse), I finally found forward right kick, which has semi-decent range, and decent damage considering it crumples the opponent and you can follow it with another forward right kick (or probably something better, but two of them did pretty good damage anyway).
So, Jin is not obviously godlike in 5 for a scrub like me. Well dang it.
